This presentation is focused on helping beginners overcome their fears of working with the code behind WordPress.<\/p>\n

Scott will show you how easy it is to work with custom post types, change the login screen logo, modify a theme and add a custom dashboard widget.\u00a0 Seeing how easy it is to mod your code will have you popping the bonnet and tinkering with WordPress in no time.<\/p>\n

Kenneth Scott Huntley (call him Scott) was working as a programmer for an Internet start-up in Vancouver until an Australian girl convinced him to turn his life upside down ten years ago. He is now an instructor at SWSi TAFE, teaching HTML, CSS, Social Media, Database, and customising Content Management Systems.\u00a0 Scott is a fan of WordPress, and is the co-coordinator of the Parramatta WordPress meetup group.\u00a0 He is an Associate of Australian Computer Society, and a member of the Australian Web Industry Association.<\/p>\n
