Speaker Submissions Are Closed

Speaker submissions are now closed for WordCamp Sydney 2016.

We’ve had an overwhelming influx of submissions so thanks to all those who put together a speaking proposal.

We’ll be in touch soon if your proposal has been accepted.

We’d love to let every one of you speak but we just don’t have the schedule so don’t worry if you haven’t been chosen to speak at this year’s WordCamp Sydney.

It’s not because your proposal was bad.  In fact we may get in contact to see if you would like to give a talk at our WordPress Sydney meetups.

Thanks again.

Speaker: Luke Carbis – What’s next for the Customiser?

photo of Luke Carbis

We’re stoked to announce our very first WordCamp Sydney speaker Luke Carbis.

Luke is a product manager at XWP, lead developer for Stream, and inventor of various other secret projects.

His daily focus is building products which help companies serve clients, and inspire growth.

Luke will be talking about the feature plugin Customise Posts, coming soon to a future version of WordPress.

The talk will include a demonstration of Front-End Editing done through the Customiser, and the technical details on how to easy it is to add support to your theme.

He will finish with a discussion and Q&A on the future of editing in WordPress so get your questions ready!

You can follow Luke on Twitter.
