Speaker Submissions Are Closed

Speaker submissions are now closed for WordCamp Sydney 2016.

We’ve had an overwhelming influx of submissions so thanks to all those who put together a speaking proposal.

We’ll be in touch soon if your proposal has been accepted.

We’d love to let every one of you speak but we just don’t have the schedule so don’t worry if you haven’t been chosen to speak at this year’s WordCamp Sydney.

It’s not because your proposal was bad.  In fact we may get in contact to see if you would like to give a talk at our WordPress Sydney meetups.

Thanks again.

WordCamp Sydney 2015 Speakers

There are two key essentials to make a great WordCamp, fantastic attendees and awesome speakers.

We’re opening the doors to anyone who would like to talk about a WordPress related topic.

Apply To Speak

Haven’t spoken at a WordCamp or event before?  Hey no worries, we’ve been there and we’re happy to help you out with tips and guidance.

We’re accepting full-length talks which should be around 30 mins with accompanying slides and a 10 min Q&A and lightning talks lasting for 5 to 10 mins max.  No slides are required for lightning talks, just grab the mic and go.

To help you prepare your submission, here are some example topics that we believe are interesting to our audience.

Please note that these are only for inspiration – we encourage you to submit any idea based on your expertise. If you have several ideas, submit them all! We’ll be happy to give you feedback and help you prepare your application.
