{"id":941,"date":"2016-08-14T16:08:38","date_gmt":"2016-08-14T06:08:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2016.sydney.wordcamp.org\/?post_type=wcb_session&#038;p=941"},"modified":"2017-04-26T14:50:00","modified_gmt":"2017-04-26T04:50:00","slug":"online-courses-with-wordpress","status":"publish","type":"wcb_session","link":"https:\/\/sydney.wordcamp.org\/2016\/session\/online-courses-with-wordpress\/","title":{"rendered":"Online Courses With WordPress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this talk, I will deliver a detailed case study on how WordPress can be used to deliver online courses and build highly engaged communities of students.<\/p>\n<p>Most online courses achieve student completion rates of around 2% &#8211; 10% according to this MOOCS research study (http:\/\/www.katyjordan.com\/MOOCproject.html)<\/p>\n<p>We have achieved 65% completion rates of our online courses by building incredibly engaging courses and a world class learning environment built on WordPress.
