Looking Glass Press<\/a>\u2014a boutique publication\u00a0design company since 1987, but has studiously ignored web design up until now.\u00a0Wanting to take control of the content of her company\u2019s website and its design, she had a\u00a0brief flirtation with WordPress in 2013, but wasn\u2019t able to really commit, so the site stood\u00a0untouched, unloved for three years.<\/p>\nInspired by the people she met at a recent WordPress WordCamp (Sunshine Coast May\u00a02016) and others at her local WordPress Meetup in Brisbane, she has grasped the nettle\u00a0and has recently redesigned and relaunched her site.<\/p>\n
\u2018Honey, you\u2019re not even responsive\u2019 is Sharon\u2019s \u2018good, bad and ugly story of go to\u00a0whoa\u2019. She freely admits she is still somewhat mystified by parts of the great WWW but\u00a0is happy to share tips, hints and her \u2018don\u2019t do this\u2019 list with anyone who is just starting\u00a0out.<\/p>\n

Three years ago I decided to wrest back control of my website and what better way to do that than to build a WordPress site?<\/p>\n
So I did that, with a little help from a coding friend, and there it has sat, like a lump ever since: not updated, not doing anything, definitely not responsive (does it need a shot of adrenaline?) and definitely my own personal testament to fear of both web design and the internet’s unceasing affair with change (shudder).<\/p>\n
